Strange Water

We worked on this little gem with the acclaimed science & technology journalist Alok Jha. It’s been viewed more than 10 million times! We really got into different approaches of showing the movement and very real magic of this foundational element.

500 WORDS PROMOS

We made multiple TV promos for BBC Radio 2’s children’s writing competition 500 Words. We even got to animate Queen Camilla, the then Duchess of Cornwall. The idea behind each was to spark the children’s imagination around the endless possibilities of storytelling.

AD FOR NYTOL HERBAL

Oli directed this wonderful tv advert for Nytol Herbal which involved all practical effects. We built a practical indoor forest with a pull away bedroom environment so that (nearly) everything could be done in camera. We also had stop motion passion flowers and a beautiful owl whose name was Percy.

NATURE

This is one of our favourites from the back catalogue of BBC Ideas films we’ve made over the years. The truth of our interdependence with nature can’t be overstated. At the same time we love science and conveying these broad scale themes visually.

LEBARA AD

This was a really great project for Labara mobile. We wanted to really lean into a particular pose-to-pose character style, alongside semi-photographic backgrounds and a touch of 3D. Combining methods is always fun.
